MCA Medicals

The medical will take approximately 30 minutes
Please make sure you bring:
•    Payment in Cash or Cheque – ENG1 - £105    (ML5 - £120)
•    An official form of ID that has a photo: a passport, a photocard driving licence or a discharge book
•    your current ENG1 certificate or equivalent (necessary if you have had a previous exam)
•    any glasses or contact lenses you are using.  Please remove contact lenses prior to the appointment.
•    the name and telephone number of your doctor (general practitioner; GP)
•    A list of any medication you’re taking 
•    any relevant reports or letters from your GP, especially if you have recently been to hospital or under a consultant
•    Urine (sample pot from front desk and then specimen before seen)
•    Avoid exposure to loud noise for 16 hours before the appointment as you will be having your hearing checked.
•    It is advisable to have a dental check-up before attending for your ENG1 medical, if you have not had one in the last year.

It’s important that you tell the approved doctor if:
•    you have failed the ENG1/ML5 examination
•    you have been issued with restrictions
•    you failed to complete an ENG1/ML5 examination with another AD

BMI >30?

For the ENG1, if your BMI is over 30, the MCA require you pass a standardised exercise test, a version of which can be completed as part of the medical, for additional £15.
